Superman gets a makeover
After almost 70 years wearing the same costume, the kryptonian gets a radical makeover. The costumes that were virtually unchanged for seven decades, is going to be his third makeover since 2011, but only with minor tweaks here and there.
The outfit will debut in Superman #20 and Action Comics #977, Superman will come out of March’s “Superman Reborn” into April’s “Superman Reborn: Aftermath” and “Superman Black” with new costumes that completely justify the modern expectations of a superhero costume.

Gone are the awkward looking cuffs, introduced last year in DC Rebirth and in come the full metallic red belt with triangle buckle, red metallic boots which replaces the classic blue boots with a jagged trim and his basic arm sleeves. The purists surely will heave a sigh of relief with these changes.
We all know that Superman has super-everything—strength, speed, flight, invulnerability as well as his renowned X-ray and heat vision and now a new costume too. And no, the red underpants are never coming back.
